CSS

Normalize and Grid css

I've used Nromalize and Grid css fils from one of the tutorials.

Everytime I upload the site I have to change server permissions for these two CSS files. ISP says they are set to read only.

Is there anyway I can change them so I don't have to keep changing permissions once they're uploaded?

Thanks for any help,

mmc

Hi Martin,

Are the files still on your Mac? If so you can change the permissions before you upload them.

If the files are on a server you can download them back to your Mac, change permissions, then upload them again.

If you right click and choose get info, you can do it there.

This all applies if your using a Mac BTW.

If you are using XAMPP on a Mac may cause to that, if you are hosted somewhere, check the file permissions by right clicking over the file on your ftp client.

Have you tried contacting your hosting provider?

Sorry for my English :)

Hi Edon,

Your English is great - no probs, thanks for reply.

No I'm not using XAMPP. It was the hosting provider that told me how to change the permissions.

It's just I've got to upload the site to a client's server and don't know how to change the permissions on their site and want the transfer to run smoothly,

Thanks,

mmc
