General Discussion

normalize.css issues

In the "Build a Simple Website" section under the "Create a Website Structure", the link to "normalize.css" doesn't seem to be working. It brings me to the download page, but when I click the green download button, it brings me to a notepad page with a bunch of errors on it. I'm using Windows 8 and the latest version of Google Chrome if that has anything to do with the issue. Any help is much appreciated.

Did it take you to a page with some code on it? I'm not quite understanding what the problem is.

It takes me to a notepad document with all of this on it:

Thats good. What you need to do next is to save onto your hard drive by right clicking and choosing "Save As". Then choose what you want to name it as and the location in you drive, and then save.

Yeah I tried that but there's no save as option on both the link in the video on treehouse and the link on the download page, there's only "the save link as" option. It just takes me right to the notepad page every time. ugh. It is so discouraging/frustrating that this site only caters to Mac users.

Ok I figured it out. Thank you for the replies.

No problem. Sorry if the advice didn't make much sense...I have a Mac OS X so how the program runs might be different. But very glad you were able to figure it out.

It works the exact same way on Windows, I know because that's what I'm using.

  1. Go to http://necolas.github.io/normalize.css/

  2. Right Click on the Big Green Button

  3. Click on "Save link as..."

  4. Choose an appropriate location.
