Not able to make images within cupcake div disappear within media query

I've tried everything I can think of, with calling the image in the cupcake div to not display, but can't seem to figure out what the issue is.

Setting display to none will make an object disappear.

.cupcake img {
    display: none;
}

well, shoot, I got it to work! I was miss understanding how to call the div and image within the media query in order to change the css.
