For some reason, I'm not getting the values from the selected class (let alone any of the values.) I'm absolutely stumped here....
//Problem: It looks ugly in smaller browser widths and smaller devices
//Solution: To hide the text links and swap them out with a more appropriate naviagtion
//Create a select and append to menu
var $select = $("<select></select>");
$("#menu").append($select);
//1 Cycle over menu links
$("$menu a").each(function(){
var $anchor = $(this);
//Create an option
var $option = $("<option></option>");
//option's value is the href
$option.val($anchor.attr("href"));
//option's text is the text of the link
$option.text($anchor.text());
//append option to select
$select.append($option);
});
//2. Create a button
var $button = $("<button>Go</button>");
//3. Bind click to select's location
$("#menu").append($button);
//4. Mod CSS to hide links on small res and show button and select
$button.click(function()
{
window.location = $select.val();
});
//4-2. Also hides select and button on larger resolution.
