You're missing the opening bracket of your regex in getWords().

You have:

public String[] getWords() { return mDescription.toLowerCase().split("^\w#@']+"); }

Should be:

public String[] getWords() { return mDescription.toLowerCase().split("[^\w#@']+"); }
