Not sure how to retrieve an index value from an array that is a constant? Very confusing and not covered in the material

Not sure how to retrieve an index value from an array that is a constant? Very confusing and not covered in the material leading up to this question?

loops.swift
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0

// Enter your code below

while sum >= 7 {
    counter += 1
  sum = sum
   }

In task 1 it is asking you to use a while loop while the counter is less than the numbers in the array (for this we use count) In task 2 you are just retrieving each value from the array and adding it to the sum Try looking at the output in playgrounds and it may help you understand

let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0

// Enter your code below

while counter < numbers.count {

sum += numbers[counter]
counter += 1

}
