not sure how to set the value... i tired doing input.value

need help setting value .i tired input.value

You didn't show the code you were actually trying. Where you putting "input.value" as the argument to the function?

Adding ".value" to get that property is the right idea, but it needs to go after the function call, not as part of the argument.
