not sure what's wrong with this code: let msg = firstName + " " + lastName + ": " + role.toUpperCase() + ".";

keeps telling me to concatenate with ":"

The message is a bit confusing, since you have the colon properly placed. However, the period at the end of the instruction sentence is outside of the quotes, and not supposed to be part of the string the code produces.
