3,870 PointsNot sure why this is not passing - Python Even Odd Challenge
Every time I press check work, it states that Task One is no longer passing? I go back and rewrite the entire code and the same error happens.
I might try and refresh the browser to see what that does.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
import random
start = 5
while start != 0:
num = random.randint(1, 99)
if even_odd(num):
print('{} is even'.format(num))
else:
print('{} is odd'.format(num))
start -= 1
def even_odd(num):
# If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
# Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
return not num % 2

23,559 PointsI took a peek at the Challenge and it looks like your while
loop is meant to come after the definition of your function. Since it relies on the function itself, it's hitting the loop and not finding what it needs, which is causing your issue. If you just copy and paste it down below, you should be good.
