Not understanding why my print statement is not working:

I believe my error is in my second printf statement. But I really don't know why it is wrong

array_length.mm 
float real_numbers[5];
printf("Array real_numbers is %ld bytes.\n", sizeof(real_numbers));

int number = sizeof(real_numbers)/sizeof(float);

printf("Array real_numbers can store %d items.\n", number);
