not working

I basically tried everything from the html and css side. nothing has worked for me the image nor the text is appearing accordingly.

I guess,you are using WebStorm editor.If so,you have to set the whole path. Let's say your images are on the Desktop.So,you have to set the path in src like this: Users/<user_name>/Desktop/image.jpg At least, in Mac it will work.You can easily get the full path by clicking <Get Info> .The full path is located in Where subsection under the General section.
