Notification color is blue

Notification bar is blue, I want it to be the same color as the background whenever the background changes colors or just one color like it is in the tutorial.

NVM I figured it out, I copied his code which is

(less symbol) style name="AppTheme" parent="android:Theme.Holo.Light.NoActionBar">

mine was (less symbol) style name="AppTheme" parent="Theme.AppCompat.Light.NoActionBar"> that's why it was blue.
