In your implementation file you've got a few minor mistakes. Alloc isn't supposed to be capitalized, and the semi-colon before nil, should be a comma.

    NSArray *shoppingList = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:@"we're going grocery shopping." @"grocery items to buy.", nil];

That will at least make it compile, however I'm not sure that shoppingCart should be an NSString, shouldn't that be an NSMutableArray, or NSArray? It's also not used in your implementation file anywhere.
