CSS CSS Selectors Advanced Selectors :nth Pseudo-Class Challenge

:nth child code challenge problem

The question is asking to clear float left, did I do it right?

Thank you,

"We want three floated images per row. In the media query, create a pseudo-class selector that targets the fourth img child element first, then every third img that follows. Then, add a clear property that clears the left float."

style.css
/* Write the CSS in the media query below */

@media (min-width: 607px) {

  img {
    float:left;

    img:nth-child (3n+4) {
      float: none;
}

Hi Edwin,

There are three mistakes in your code:

  1. The img and img:nth-child(3n+4) are different selectors. You have to declare their property-values in separate curly braces.

  2. You put a space between nth-child and (3n+4), which must not be there.

  3. Clearing left float is done by command - clear:left

So, your code should be as follows:

@media (min-width: 607px) {

  img {
    float:left;
  }

   img:nth-child(3n+4) {
      clear: left;
  }
}

Hope that helps,

Placid

got it...Thank you Placid!!

I think...

 img {
    float:left;

    img:nth-child (3n+4) {
      clear: left; /* maybe clear: both; */
}
