JavaScript Object-Oriented JavaScript (2015) Introduction to Methods Create an Object Literal

Object Literals

I am stuck on this code challenge. I can't figure out what it wants me to do. It seems like it should be curly braces, but that is not working either. Please help!!

object.js
var contact = [];

You've created an array instead of a Javascript object. "Square brackets" are used as the shorthand for creating arrays, while "curly brackets" are used as the shorthand for creating an object in Javascript.

var contact = {};
