1,361 Pointsoff topic Arduino question?
I am a EET student at Devry and I am working on a project. I am designing a circuit/program for a guitar pedal. I am creating a controller. I am using Digital Potentiometers(Digipot's) to control the volume. I need a way to be able to read and wright the value to a program that controls the digipot. and it needs to store multiple values? Any one have any thoughts?

These might seem like redundant or obvious questions, but I'm trying understand exactly what you are trying to do or accomplish.

1,361 PointsSo i am using a Arduino(micro controller) to control the value of a digipot. To explain it I am using small numbers that don't resemble the real values, to make it easier. I will wright a code to tell the digipot to go to a value.(1 being very low resistance and 10 being high resistance) if I want the value to be 5 than it goes to 5 then I set it to 10 then I can press a button that will make it go back to 5. it will store values so then i can go between each programed value.

17,137 PointsHi, Yes, I'm still not sure I understand what you're ultimately trying to accomplish with your project. What do you want your program to do? Can you describe your project in one sentence, that explains what you're trying to do?
PS - Also: I will wright a code to tell the digipot to go to a value. I think you mean "write".

17,137 PointsThanks. And in your project, what is it that's triggering the fader to move?
Joey Sadowski
1,361 Pointswell the faders don't move they are digipots

17,137 PointsIt seems like you want your switches to move from one state to the next without giving them any inputs. Without inputs, there isn't any reason to move. You need to define: when ____ happens, then _____. For instance, when I push this pedal, the switch goes from 0 to 1. When I release it goes from 1 to 0. The trigger is "when I push this pedal". That's an example. When you figure that out, then you'll know how to write your program.
