Hello fellow Treehouse coders,
This is my way of giving back to the community. Treehouse has been one of the resources that's helped me along in my web development journey. I started the journey about a year ago and it's been very rewarding so far.
Using what I learned, I was able to build an advanced stats site for competitive Magic The Gathering players: MTG Analytics. Currently, it's on the sidebar of a subreddit with 8,400 subscribers: r/spikes/. I don't update the site any more so they may remove it.
Currently, I'm building a site to help me crunch stats for my fantasy basketball teams. Right now, it's only on my local machine but you can see the code on GitHub. The site has turned me from an unprofitable player to a profitable one in daily fantasy sports since I started using it this year.
Tutoring is a benefit for me as well because one of the best ways to retain the stuff you learn is to teach someone else how to do it and I enjoy teaching and coding.
For the tutoring sessions, I was thinking we can use Google Hangouts or Skype so we can share screens and chat. We can go through a Treehouse course together or I can help you build a feature for your project by walking you through the code that needs to be written.
