Omega - Real Amateur

Can someone please explain the omega rule properly to me? Does this mean it is the end of the line in the grid?

Within Twitter Bootstrap, the classes .alpha and .omega are used to remove the side margins from your element. So, if your design has elements butted up against the sides of the design, then you would use those classes to overwrite the margins.
