On Previous Quiz: Submit Button Not Working

On the previous quiz, I keep getting the error message "You must add button element to form". I have adjusted the code many times and still get the same message. Here's the code:

<form action="index.html" method="post">

  <h1>Shirt Order Form</h1>
  <label for="color">Shirt Color</label>
  <select id="color" name="shirt_color">
    <option value="red">Red</option>
    <option value="yellow">Yellow</option>
    <option value="purple">Purple</option>
    <option value="blue">Blue</option>
    <option value="green">Green</option>
    <option value="orange">Orange</option>
    <button type="submit">Place Order</button>
</form>

Any help is much appreciated!

While the other answers are correct about the closing select tag, the button needs to be outside of it, not inside. The button is not one of the options to be chosen.

<form action="index.html" method="post">

  <label for="color">Shirt Color</label>
  <select id="color" name="shirt_color">

</form>

Yes, I just encountered the same problem earlier. I placed the <button> before the closing </select> button

You are missing the closing tag for the select element (</select>). It should be just after your button element.
