Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 2,872 PointsOn Previous Quiz: Submit Button Not Working
On the previous quiz, I keep getting the error message "You must add button element to form". I have adjusted the code many times and still get the same message. Here's the code:
<form action="index.html" method="post">
<h1>Shirt Order Form</h1>
<label for="color">Shirt Color</label>
<select id="color" name="shirt_color">
<option value="red">Red</option>
<option value="yellow">Yellow</option>
<option value="purple">Purple</option>
<option value="blue">Blue</option>
<option value="green">Green</option>
<option value="orange">Orange</option>
<button type="submit">Place Order</button>
</form>
Any help is much appreciated!

56,414 PointsWhile the other answers are correct about the closing select tag, the button needs to be outside of it, not inside. The button is not one of the options to be chosen.

4,483 PointsYes, I just encountered the same problem earlier. I placed the <button> before the closing </select> button

43,783 PointsYou are missing the closing tag for the select element (</select>). It should be just after your button element.
