On Scaffolding

Is scaffolding something that is normally used in the professional environment? Should you or should you not depend on it?

1 Answer

Scaffolding is used, it can save time - however you should not depend on it. It is important that you know what each generate command actually does. What files are created? What code is added? If I generate a controller with nothing else specified are testing files added (yes).

Scaffolding is just a tool to help you do your job, not a replacement.

Thank you!
