Oops, I forgot that I need to break out of the loop when the current item is the string "STOP". Help me add that code!

Not working? Why

def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
         if item == 'STOP':
            break   
    print(items)

You're close, but I see a couple of issues:

  • make the "print" statement part of the loop by indenting it further
  • print the current item instead of the whole list each time

I'll bet you can solve it now without an explicit code spoiler.

Your code is almost there! Your print statement is just outside of your for loop, tabbing it in should solve the problem. 

def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
        if item == 'STOP':
            break
        print(item)
