Operating System for MacBook and Treehouse

Hello, I have an old white MacBook at the moment (7 years old) and would like to wait to purchase the new MacBook pro 2016 BUT the Treehouse lessons aren't loading/playing videos properly. Are there any workarounds to get me by for the next few months? What's the latest operating system that will work with Treehouse anyway? Thanks!!

Hi Helena!

I own a 6 year old Macbook Pro ;) and it is working perfectly with Treehouse website and videos.

You should be able to install the latest MAC OSX which is called Yosemite. It costs around 14 dollars I believe. https://www.saskialund.de/uploads/201509259_2109-Screenshot.png See my old Macbook Model? I exchanged the HDD for a 512 GB SSD and upgraded to 8GB RAM instead of 4. Everything runs fine, smooth and fast as if it was brandnew.

Agreed. Upgrade your RAM and possibly an SSD and you should be set. Running Yosemite shouldn't be an issue after the upgrades.
