Courses Plus Student 16,550 PointsOpinions on my Portfolio
Hi guys,
I'm close to concluding my portfolio website, friends and family love it, however I'd like opinions off fellow developers/designers because I'll be shooting a cover letter and a link to my portfolio to local web shops soon.
Thank you! Matt

As you noted, it needs a few code updates but the overall experience for anyone looking to hire you is very well done. Great job Matthew Barnes! If I was to point out anything it is that the top of your website, the picture with the computer/phone and flashdrive is too low quality of an image. Although maybe that's just me. And this may be what you were already talking about, but if the cursor isn't in the center of one of the work section boxes, then it doesn't flip over completely. As I said, great job keep up the good work!

Nicely done! I am also a bit jealous of your designing skills :)
I do have two suggestions:
On the landing screen the 'Web Enthusiast ... Developer ... Designer' animation. The way the word "Web" jumps for the shorter "Designer" is a bit distracting. I think that, maybe, adding a bid more space between the words, rather than having the "Web" jump left/right would be much better.
The contact form at the bottom, I would prefer to be static when you scroll down (not animated) in. I just feel that a "form" should just be there and ready for you to use.
Other than that, It looks amazing... I may one day be coming to you for some design work.

Yeah you're right about the Web Designer sub header. It's now much cleaner with your suggestion.
I'm undecided about the form animation! I like it and purposely made the duration short! I'm going to think about it!
Thanks for your time! All the Best!

1,322 PointsMatthew Barnes , I didn't have any thing to say about it.It's awesome. Only one suggestion I want to give you is to make menu fixed at top when the div class .shout scrolled up.

Matthew Barnes
Courses Plus Student 16,550 PointsThanks Ashish,
I originally wanted to use a fixed navigation, however it was going behind my absolute positioned elements, and at the time I couldn't resolve this using z-index. Later on in the build I realised if I used z-index and !important, it would work as required. But I had already added the buttons back to the top.
For that reason, I don't really want to change it back!
Thanks for the feedback! Take care

Courses Plus Student 16,550 PointsThank you for your kind words!
I agree about the main-img, I think I condensed the size too much. Of the people I have shown they haven't noticed, but If you've noticed I'll improve the quality!
Thank you for your time Zachary! All the best with your work and learning!
