optional

when I type var optionalString: String? = "hello" it gives me back "hello" not [some "hello"]. Any ideas?

Kevin,

var optionalString: String? = "hello"

What do you mean by [Some "Hello"]? The above code is assigning the value of Hello to a optional string.
