Other jobs that use these skills...

I've been working hard for the past year on gaining the coding skills I need to land a job that will adequately provide for my family and myself. As I start looking at possible job requirements, I realize how much more I need to learn to at least "feel" employable as a legit developer. So I started wondering what other similar jobs might I be able to take as I improve my coding skills?

Does anyone have an idea about what jobs exist for people with limited knowledge about coding? At my current job now, I see people get paid pretty decently for creating simply things such as Excel databases or interactive PDFs. I've seen job listings specifically for people to design email templates in HTML. I'm thinking there certainly must be jobs available that utilize the skills we have acquired so far, even if some of us aren't ready for full time web development.

I plan on working a few hours at web design company after my full time job. I plan on working for free kind of like a internship. That way I can get some real world experience. This may not be the route for you because of family commitments. Good luck in whatever you decide, and I hope you can get the job you want.
