PageCloud claims they will make the use of Web Developers redundant

So these new guys offering a similar web service to Wix claims that they will make the use of web developers unnecessary and redundant, yet they build their customers websites with flash. I would like to hear some thoughts on this please!

Can you expand versus just posting a link? Thanks!

I don't know anything about it LOL

But from the looks it won't replace web developers. Probably not even web designers.

Maybe just make their job easier.

Simple web sites yes absolutely but web applications? I just don't see it. That is the role of the web developer in the future; building tools and applications with complex logic that integrate data sources, not creating web sites for bakeries and lawyers.

It will be a LONG time before web developer's get replaced! Even web designers, just because you have a tool that makes it as simple as drag and drop doesn't mean it will make you creative. LOL

Absolutely! Designers will also still be important because we find new interface methods that make our tools more useful all the time. It's trending towards overall user experience design as well so not just "is this pleasing to the eye" but is the overall experience pleasing to the brain.

Were is up voting for general discussion? This is great stuff guys!

I don't know. LOL

There isn't, I just wish there was!
