141 PointsParent selector exercise- I cannot figure out the correct answer.
The exercises instructs: "We want to add an exception for <a> tags that are in the <div> with a class of .footer: those links should be purple. Use the post-selector ampersand to achieve this."
I receive the following error message: "Bummer! Please use the ampersand selector following the selector for the .footer div."
I've repeated the video looking for answers. Does anyone know the correct one?
Thank you, Sharon

141 PointsHi Wayne, Thanks for your reply. I am still getting the same error after adding 'div' after .footer.
Why is it necessary to add div to the line when I am calling .footer. Can you explain?
Best, Sharon

19,579 PointsThe only reason I can see as it being necessary to add the div is that the question asks you to do it this way.
I can't get the code to pass either, even though it is correct, and if you check the preview the links in the footer are now purple.
I can only think its a bug in the challenge for the moment. You could try doing the challenge again, maybe by entering the answers individually again it will pass. ( i hope so)
Buy your code is now fine Sharon.
