Design Illustrator Foundations Adding Color and Type Colors, Patterns and Selecting Objects

Pattern Option

When double clicking the new pattern in the Swatches pallet I do not get a Pattern Option to further refine the pattern. I get a Swatch Options Pallet where I can only give it a name. Nothing further. Could this be because it is not available in Illustrator CS5?

I'm afraid you're right. The Pattern Option was introduced in Illustrator CS6.

(My work is mainly in CS5, too:(
