PDO Prepared Statements?

I think a good addition to PHP and MySQL course would be prepared statements; as in $db->prepare($query). Binding parameters and using the array $db->execute($dataArray); method also. The pros and cons of either method. And while I have your attention, how about that PHP Powered Forum?
