Performing formulas on filtered rows/columns:

I didn't realize until I got to the quiz that this didn't make sense.

So, once you're filtered a column and want to, say, add up the contents that remain shown, how do you do this? When I do =sum on a column that has been filtered, it still adds in all the values from the hidden rows. I was able to complete the quiz by copy-pasting the values to another column (without hidden values) and doing the formula there.
