Hi,

I don't understand how do you add layers in:

i'm creating a layer but it's not appearing in canvas.

thanks,

Make sure your interface is displaying layers (window -> layers). If you aren't able to see that part of the interface, try reseting your workspace (window -> workspace -> reset essentials).

If you are able to see the layers panel, note that the topmost layer in the list will "stack" on top of all those beneath it. If you have a photo on the top layer taking the entire canvas size, you won't be able to see anything on the layers below.

If you are just wondering how to add a new layer, you can do that by using the Layer menu, accessing the new layer button on the layers panel, or using a shortcut like ctrl+shift+n on Windows.

Photohsop can be really confusing sometimes, so please post more details or a screenshot if you are still having trouble or need more clarity.
