Design Photoshop Foundations Masks Basics Creating & Refining a Layer Mask

Photoshop Foundation Course

I think the Photoshop foundation class is poor. No examples. no projects nothing. And the instructor is flying through the course.

I totally agree, compared to other courses I find the speed way too fast and the content hard to follow.

This is particularly annoying, as it is something I want to learn

There is a good collection of tutorials from smashingmagazine.com have a look at this one http://www.smashingmagazine.com/tag/photoshop/

It gets better with Adobe Illustrator.........The Photoshop course was definitely one of the worse and I went through the videos in a speedy way.

I agree, this is the poorest course I've met so far in Treehouse. I find it also not particularly useful - it's more about menus, palettes, and commands than about techniques to achieve things. This should have been a course of design, not about Photoshop in particular. And it's not even good at that. It's the only course in which I had to slow down the speed just to clearly understand what she says, and the Photoshop she uses is now outdated and different from the one I have.

I agree with everyone here. I was really looking forward to learn Photoshop or at least have a good intro to it. I think if the course is included in Treehouse, they should apply the same level of teaching and content than the rest. I don't think we are getting a discount for going through this. I am really disappointed, specially as I can't follow along with files and I can't even take my own notes as it won't make sense later on. Please don't suggest googling for stuff as I am paying for a course to learn. Otherwise, don't include it in the track.

I agree and am glad someone else has said it. Sometimes there are no project files, other times the project files are of the finished file. I had to figure out what the lesson was going to have me do, just so I could undo it, so I could then take the lesson and learn how to do it in the first place. Very frustrating experience.

I agree. This course is a little frustrating. Way too few examples and explanations.
