PHP 5.3 differences

Job I saw requires you to know php 5.3 what is the major difference in that version?

PHP 5.3 is largely outdated now but unfortunately still widespread. If you're working with the most recent version of php, you should be fine applying for this job!

Every change to the php language is recorded in the change log. it's a bit of a nightmare to read through..

Generally speaking, everything is pretty similar. I know you won't be able to use things like traits, which came out in 5.4.

Thanks for the response, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything too drastic as far as changes went. I haven't even learned traits yet still on the php development course at the moment.

Ah, don't worry about it - sounds fine!

Good luck in your job hunt :-)

Thank you. At this point I need to finish the development course and go to wordpress development, every website I create for my clients uses wordpress but I need to learn how to make my own themes without the bloated plugins for maximum flexibility.
