PHP basics Challenge Task 1 of 2 I put exactly what was needed: $name = "Mike"; but it comes back wrong

answer comes back wrong and then the challenge window goes into this Running mode for a while, then crashes and I have to start the challenge over again. I think there's something wrong with the module code itself. My answer is correct:

$name = "Mike";

index.php
$name = "Mike";

hey Brad Davis , actually you're code is absolutely fine. however (I just re-did the challenge to check this) it seems you missed to add the php block, means: adding the variable declaration only won't work. in full it has to look like this:

<?php
$name = "Mike";

hope that helps and have a nice day ;)
