PHP best practices - the course by Randy Hoyt

Hi

I'd like to ask about the course of PHP by Randy Hoyt. Does the auhtor follow best practices? As you know PHP had some bad reputation regarding security and there are must rules to follow, my question is: Does the author follow that?

What I understand Randy Hoyt--Well know in the wordpress community in understanding of post types and relationship data.

I just started his PHP course so do not I have opinion until later in the course.

But My General Indication based on other Tutorials out there the Answer would be: YES.
