Hi guys,
Does anyone have any recommendations for a book on learning php?
Failing that, does anyone know whether Treehouse be adding a book on php along the same lines as their CSS3 Foundations?
Cheers!

13,027 PointsNo offence implied of cause, but PHP & MySQL for Dummies seems decent so far (I'm reading it during my breaks at work).
It doesn't expect any prior knowledge - although having some has helped make reading it a bit easier.
It does focus on the interaction of the two and possibly misses out on some other applications of PHP, but since most websites that have alot of substance to them would need to interact with databases learning the two together makes sense :)

depends on what kinda person you are do you prefer the dry read technical paper books that cover everything and how to use it or the project based books that give examples and good explanations and the odd picture
