JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Making Decisions with Conditional Statements Booleans

Place a Boolean

The next few challenges are going to be using boolean logic and will be building in complexity.

Place a Boolean value between the parenthesis for the condition in this conditional statement. Use the boolean value that will result in the message "This is true" appearing in an alert box.

any help please

script.js
var correctGuess = false;
var guess = prompt('what is my favorite color');
if (guess === 'Blue') {correctGuess = true}
if (correctGuess === true) {
    alert('This is true');
} else {
    alert('This is false');
}

if ( ) { alert('This is true'); } else { alert('This is false'); }

^^ this is what I started with

index.html
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
  <meta charset="UTF-8">
  <title>JavaScript Basics</title>
</head>
<body>
<script src="script.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

I was stuck on that for hours, thank you

Sounds to me like all you need is the boolean value 'true' in the empty parenthesis. The extra lines, lines 1-3 and the correctGuess in line 4 is unnecessary for the challenge.
