Placing Txt & Buttons

At 6:00 in the video you are dragging your text around and it keeps relocating relative to different margins (like snapping in AutoCAD). For some reason mine won't allow me to manually drag and relocate, it automatically snaps to the corner and won't let me move it. I can go into the manual select modes and move it to centre but I need to be able to drag to put the button below it later in the video.

Any hints? I assume I am just missing a txt box somewhere.
