"Planning your first project"

This phase is too confusing, specially because we just got started. There are so many parts I don't understand. Who can help me directly with "Planning your own project"? this is very frustrating and I am already thinking this program is not for me, it does not have to be this complex this early in the program.

Hey Ricardo,

are you talking about the first techdegree project or do you mean a project you want to do by yourself?

In any case if you like to have a zoom-chat, let me know. I have just recently finished an intense live bootcamp and am preparing and practicing mentoring and helping beginners because I would love to teach in the near future. So I am happy whenever I can help and I love to do this via zoom because this is how I learned most from my mentors in the bootcamp and it's more direct.

Reach out if you like to: nkriedner@googlemail.com

Or via facebook: Nils Kriedner

If via facebook, then let me know here that you sent a message because it will most probably not directly land in the inbox and I only check message requests now and then.

And please don't give up! It's hard in the beginning but you will manage everything if you stick to it - I guarantee you!

Blessings from Berlin, Nils

How do I even begin to create a new folder in my computer? What is this zip files? There seem to be files within files, complicating the matter further. What do you mean “unzip”? Huh? What is all this? It makes me very uncomfortable to continue with the program if I can’t even get this done.

I thought this was for beginners, was I wrong?

I also have to create images of me and/or background, ok create them and put them where?

I also have to get familiar with the code. What code? Where is the code for all these zip files.

Come in guys, you have to fix this step in the program so at least is a little understandable.

I am happy to help you with all of this if you like.

My offer is there.

Just as an add-on to my previous answer:

Are you using the slack channel for your techdegree?

I would strongly advise you to use it and also ask for help there.

The slack channel is a vital part of the techdegree program.
