Courses Plus Student 18,830 PointsPlans for new conferences and bonus content?
Hey there Treehouse community! A couple of perks of the Treehouse Pro Plan is that you get bonus content and conference talks. It seems like there hasn't been any new conference videos or bonus content videos for some time now. Has anyone heard if there will be new content added soon? Or if these features are going to be phased out?
I've already checked the Content Roadmap and don't see anything, other than courses, planned for release.
I love the bonus content and conferences, however much of the videos are now starting to become out-of-date. It would be great to see some new videos added here. Wondering if others are feeling the same way!

8,916 PointsHey Kristopher! I haven't heard anything directly, but I really hope so, because I think I'll be transferring to Pro pretty soon. I'll tell you though, I REALLY miss the Treehouse Show, that was available for all students. Apparently Nick had a surprise Game Dev. course released, so that's what cancelled it.
~Gabriel Also, do MODs get the Pro plan automatically? Or even Techdegree? :)

Courses Plus Student 18,830 PointsThanks for the response Gabriel! I hope so too, especially for new ones and students like you who might want to upgrade. I miss that show too! It was definitely a Treehouse Community favorite. I hope something similar is in the works.
And in regards to your last question, MODS do not get the pro plan or techdegree automatically.

8,916 PointsAh, OK. Also, one last thing, sorry! :) How did you become a MOD? I believe I have the correct amount of points, 5k, but do you fill out an app., or is it just that you're noticed by a Staff member?

According to the Moderator Guidelines, in order to become a MOD you must have at least 5,000 points, have a deep understanding of Treehouse, and show that you're consistently helpful, patient and approachable in the community. I'm not sure who noticed me, whether it was another MOD or a Treehouse staff member. But if we see students that we think qualify to be MODS we are able to nominate them for the position.
