PlaylistDetailViewController doesn't appear in main.storyboard view

I have added the second ViewController but it doesn't appear in the main.storyboard view so I cannot choose to proceed as shown in the video (3:17). I tried adding further ViewController objects and they also don't appear next to the first ViewController.

What should I do to see the PlaylistDetailViewController in main.storyboard?

I solved the issue by dragging a new ViewController object from the Object library in Identity Inspector to the main.storyboard. I then could select PlaylistDetailViewController from the dropdown. However, I am still wondering why it hasn't become visible automatically like in the video. I am using Xcode 7.0.
