Please create more courses using Swift building real iOS projects.

Dear Treehouse. I love the website, compare with Lynda.com, the courses here are much more organized and easy to follow, the design is clean and make people have the passion to learn.

I am learning iOS development with Swift, so far I have completed all the existing Swift courses, but right after I paid my subscription, I found that there are no more Swift related course are available. So may I ask if team treehouse will add more course in iOS development using Swift?

I think the most effective way to learn iOS development is to learn thru real projects, I found that there are many course out there using Objective-C, such as building a diary app, building a photo view app, etc. I am very very very much hope to see this in Swift too.

Also I notice that in Objective-C, Sam tried to build an app without using Storyboard, well, many of my friend said in real development life, this is absolutely the truth, professional developer hardly use storyboards to write there app. So, I hope treehouse can provide a course to teach us in this too.

I am not a native english speaker, I found that some of the instructor speaks too fast. (Such as Sam). I hope the teacher can slightly slowdown their speaking speed so it's easier for us to follow.

Thanks treehouse. Really love this website.

I echo this. I would love for Teamtreehouse to create more swift courses designing real iOS projects. This is particularly the case because Swift is so new. I.e. I am a little stuck finding new video-type material for learning Swift because there is not that much out there. This seems like it would be a great hole for Treehouse to fill.

I'm sure the teachers at Treehouse have plans to do more Swift videos. It's still a very new language. I am not an iOS Developer, but I've talked with a few and it is my understanding that these days, because Swift is still so new, it's common to use it in conjunction with Objective-C when making iOS apps. So if you're looking to expand your iOS knowledge, Objective-C would be a good skill to have. It's an established language that won't be going away anytime soon. I thought this article was an interesting read, if you're interested. Swift is great, but you should still know Objective-C first.

So hang on to your Treehouse subscription and go through those courses. It can only help you in the long run!

Also, I wanted to point out that there is a speed button on the video player that will allow you to slow down or speed up the lessons. I took a screenshot for you and circled the button - it looks like a clock in the lower right hand corner of the player.

Hi Keri, thanks for the nice comment.

Yes I think learning Objective-C is quite necessary although I am not feeling so good learning a fading out technology, especially Objective-C which has quite a weird grammar.

I have decided that i will starting again from Objective-C, as you mentioned that many existing resources are still in objective c and this language will be co-exist with Swift for quite a long time.

For the speed control, thanks for letting me know :)

Thanks again and have a nice day!
