The question is looking for ternary operators. The question mark being "if the condition is true then..", and the colon being "If its not true then...."

class Login extends Component {
  state = { isLoggedIn: false };
  ...
  render() {
    return (
      <button>
        { this.state.isLoggedIn ? 'Log out' : 'Log in' }
      </button>
    );
  }
}
