Every item in the items list is a string. So when they are asking if the 0 index of the item is 'a', they are actually trying to see if the first character of the string is 'a'.
To do that we can write the following code:
def loopy(items):
# Code goes here
for item in items:
if item[0] == 'a':
continue
print(item)
