Please help resolve this error message: Within the '.footer' div, 'a' tags that are within 'p' tags should be purple.

This is my code, and I can't figure out why it's incorrect. Please help.

p { a { color: red; div .footer & { color: purple; } } }

You were really close! The space you put between div and .footer makes it a descendant selector for "elements with class footer that are inside a div". But what they want you to select is the "div with class footer". So no space:

p { a { color: red; div.footer & { color: purple } } }
