please provide some direction. i've tried a few things and not sure how to think about it next.

i don't understand where the var secret declaration fits in and should there be an else for the document.write part?

script.js
/*
var secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
while ( secret !== "sesame" ) {
  secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
}
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome."); */

do {
  var secret;
  secret = prompt("What is the secret password?")
} while (secret !== sesame);
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

Hi, Alicia! The variable should be declared outside of the loop like this:

//variables
var secret;
do {
//do stuff
} while (secrect !== "sesame");
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

If the variable is inside of the do...while loop, the variable is reset each time.
