Oh I just looked over your code again and then a very simple solution came to me. You've been really close and I'm sure you'll notice immediately.

     public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
  return mBarsCount == 0;
    }
     public boolean isFullyCharged() {
  return mBarsCount == MAX_BARS;
    }

Hi Mate,

i don't know if you need to make an if statement to check for the answer because its been a while since I made this challenge and I couldn't get bothered watching the videos again so i just made this solution and it works but I guess there are better ways to do it.

Cheers Toby.

public boolean isBatteryEmpty(){
    if (mBarsCount == 0) {
      return true;
    }
      else {
        return false;
      }
  }
    public boolean isFullyCharged(){
    if (mBarsCount == MAX_BARS) {
      return true;
    }
      else {
        return false;
      }
  }

thanks mehn!! i appreciate. i just solved its
