i am having difficulty changing the file directory in terminal. can someone help.

You can go through the terminal by typing (change directory) -
cd
This will allow you to change the directory (folder) you're in. If you then open the Finder and drag and drop the folder you want to be in, into Terminal so it shows something like this -
cd Desktop/Projects/Example
This will allow you to get into the directory you want.
