Post Types in Wordpress

In the Treehouse video Zac mentions Custom Post Types ("Slideshows" and "Destinations"). My Wordpress does not show these types. How can I add them in?

Hi, this video is showing an example of what Custom Post types look like when they already exist on a WordPress site. If you are looking for help adding Custom Post types to your own site, check out the course How to Build a Website with WordPress, specifically the section on Custom Post Types :)

Since this course is intended for website owners looking to be able to manage their site content, we don't get into how to add custom post types themselves.

he also mentions and uses the plugin "custom post type ui" ;) http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/
