practicing Layout :/ can someone help , what have i done wrong this time , trying to make a 3 column layout

im finding it really difficult when it comes to layout , can someone tell me what ive done wrong im trying to get 3 columns , also how do i get the main logo and nav at the top of the page?

any tips on how to understand layout im doing the css layout course but find it abit confusing how long did it take you guys to understand it and be confident making layouts from scratch?
